Whether you're a CEO presenting to shareholders,
a manager motivating your team,
an entrepreneur pitching for new business,
a head teacher talking to pupils,
a charity worker asking for donations
or a parent speaking at your daughter’s wedding,
you want your audience to listen.
At Zone 2 we are passionate about communication.
And we'd love to speak with you.
We work privately with senior executives, entrepreneurs, politicians, professionals, thought leaders and media personalities.
We work closely with clients on all aspects of their communication and media skills, their personal charisma, authenticty and branding, and on the preparation and delivery of specific talks; so that they speak with maximum impact and influence.
To discuss personal coaching in strict confidence, please call us on 0800 246 5624 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We speak to customers, suppliers or colleagues everyday, either face to face or on the telephone – so it’s always worth improving the way we connect and speak to other people.
All our Masterclasses are designed for the specific needs of your particular team and company.
Here are some areas of work that can be included:
Video and audio recording can be used for work on presentations, customer service, telephone and conference calls.
We often work with teams on the preparation and delivery of specific pitches for new business – helping with structuring the key message, the construction of PowerPoint slides and the choice of words used, together with detailed rehearsal of the delivery. As professional writers, our input into pitch preparation has helped many companies win new business.
We have worked with customer service staff and helped introduce a unified, branded service culture to many organisations. We have worked with sales, marketing and research teams – and with front and back office staff – on both Away Day and In House training sessions.
Working in a team works well allowing delivery practice in front of the group. Team members can also learn by hearing feedback given to others. All our courses are designed for the specific needs of your particular team and company and are usually run from half a day to two days. We recommend a follow up session after a month or so to reinforce the learning.
Our One to One Masterclasses are inevitably more detailed and designed specifically for the needs and issues of each individual client. One to One sessions can be followed up with a full team day where each team member will present to the whole team.
Our experience, enthusiasm and sense of humour, make our sessions memorable, fun and above all, effective.
In our Media Skills 1-1 coaching sessions and workshops we will discover how to develop an effective and charismatic presence when facing the world’s media.
We will look at our personal brands and understand how we can find our natural ‘authentic’ voice; learning to be physically dynamic, yet still open and relaxed.
We will learn how to speak with gravitas and authority, how to plan and structure our messages so that key points are remembered and then learn how to hold an audience for maximum impact and influence.
We will also look at how not to be de-railed by unexpected questions when meeting journalists on a 1-1 basis.
The workshop will be interactive, stimulating and fun.
If you are travelling or can’t arrange a coaching session locally, we now offer Skype coaching sessions to suit your location.
These are particularly useful as follow up sessions when you are working on a specific upcoming speech or presentation.

INSET/CPD COURSES FOR TEACHERS
Teachers are naturally good and experienced speakers – they talk to pupils in the classroom everyday – but sometimes when speaking to the whole school or to a larger group of expectant parents, some teachers say they would like to have more impact.
In our interactive workshops we will learn how we can communicate more effectively on both a personal and a public level. These invaluable life skills can help in many situations beyond the classroom; and teachers can learn to pass on these skills to pupils, both by example and by explanation.
We will look at how to ‘centre’ our voice, making it sound natural and authentic; working on breathing, articulation and vocal variety. We will then look at how nerves and certain situations can pull us off ‘centre’.
We will look at our body language, learning how to tread that fine line between confidence and arrogance – to be physically dynamic, yet still open and relaxed – and know why the body reacts as it does in pressured situations.
We will look at how best to structure a talk so we grab the audience right at the start and then engage them all the way to the end.
So whether we’re speaking to one parent or to the whole school, we make the best connection with them that we possibly can, every time.
The over-riding feedback from teachers is that our workshops are inspiring, practical and hugely enjoyable.
PUBLIC SPEAKING FOR PUPILS
We passionately believe there is a real need for children to be able to communicate clearly and confidently – whether speaking aloud in class, reading in the school Carol Service or speaking from the podium on Speech Day.
Learning these skills while still at school gives them a firm foundation on which to build as they grow into adulthood, helping them substantially in both their personal and professional lives.
Our interactive courses are great fun and crammed full of specific tips and exercises to help each individual. Pupils are encouraged to be themselves and to enjoy the experience of holding an audience through their enthusiasm for the topic.
They will learn how to structure a talk, how to deal with nerves and to how to deliver it in a strong, engaging way; working in groups, in pairs and individually on specific exercises. After a chance to practice, they will often deliver their talks to the whole year group and as many staff, parents and other pupils as possible.
Courses are run for pupils aged 8-18 and are tailored for each particular age group. They can be adapted to your timetable and pupil availability.
Many schools book the course a year in advance and it has become a regular feature in the school calendar.
Our experience, enthusiasm and sense of humour, make the courses memorable, fun and above all, really effective.
INTERVIEW SKILLS FOR PUPILS
We all want to do our best when faced with the worrying prospect of an interview – whether that’s for our next school, university or our first job. We only have one shot at any interview, so 1-1 coaching practice is really helpful. We want pupils to show themselves off at their very best, every time.
Most of us are quite relaxed and confident when meeting other people but in pressured situations, like an interview, we often either clam up or try too hard.
Learning interview skills while still at school gives pupils a firm foundation on which to build as they grow into adulthood, helping them substantially in both their personal and professional lives.
Our 1-1 interview coaching sessions are great fun and crammed full of specific tips and exercises to help each individual. Pupils are encouraged to be themselves and to enjoy the experience of meeting new people.
Sessions are usually run for half an hour. By the end, all pupils will be much more comfortable in the pressured interview environment and have specific tools to help them.
Our experience, enthusiasm and sense of humour, make our sessions memorable, fun and above all, really effective.
Most of us are relaxed and confident when we’re with our friends and family. We can tell a story or even tell a joke. But put us on a platform and we can feel very different. When we speak to an audience, we often put on a public mask and use a different voice. Why can’t we seem to be ourselves when we give a talk?
